Winter wrap up: Heartwarming community collaborations and sizzling catered events

Winter seemed to have whizzed on past in the blink of an eye but Chez Nous Corporate kept the home fires burning all season long with hot seasonal menu items,  a number of heartwarming community collaborations and a bunch of sizzling catered events, both off-site and on-site at our sister venue The Joinery. Here’s the wrap up…


Chez Nous Corporate are proud to provide ongoing support to Paniyiri Greek Festival, Queensland’s signature celebration of all things Greek, and feel honoured to be part of the amazingly warm and passionate community who work tirelessly to make each year bigger and better. 2016’s event was no different!

Chez Nous Corporate was delighted to sponsor Vinnies CEO Sleepout, an event which saw 1,485 CEOs across the country sleep out with nothing more than a beanie and a box to raise money for crucial services that help Australians experiencing homelessness.

A great result achieved with CEOs conquering the cold to raise over $5.6 million nationally for the 105,000 Australians who are homeless on any given night. Donate or register for next year’s event here!

Chez Nous Corporate were thrilled and honoured to partner with our sister venue The Joinery to cater the main meal for the spectacular culinary tour Ari’s Food Safari, held on Monday August 15, 2016.

Voted as the The Sunday Mail’s number one event in 2014, the coveted event raises funds for the Australian Mitochondrial Disease Foundation, in memory of local Brisbane boy Ari Rotolone, who passed away from Mitochondrial Disease at the age of four.

This year’s sold out event saw 200 guests enjoy a delicious Victorian Lamb Rack with Persian Fetta infused Potato Mash and Caponata, finished with Salsa Verde and Sweet Potato Chips.

The night was a huge success, with $27,468 raised for the Australian Mitochondrial Disease Foundation.

Chez Nous Corporate is proudly supporting The Coffee Club Ball ‘A Night in New York’ which is set to transform the Royal International Convention Centre on Saturday November 19.

Staged annually in conjunction with the Channel 9 Telethon event, The Coffee Club Telethon Ball brings together an exciting mix of national and local personalities, prominent chefs, entertainment and hospitality in one night to raise funds for vital research into childhood cancers. This renowned gala event showcases the endless generosity of our community and continues to exceed attendance and donation targets year-on-year.

The claws were out at Brookfield Multiplex’s luncheon held at The Joinery in May as 200 guests enjoyed a cracker feast of Chilli Mud Crabs locally sourced from The Fish Factory and served with Beer Battered Chips and Coconut Chilli Aioli.

Flash Fried Baby Calamari and Antipasto Platters were served as a prelude and the decadent feast finished on a sweet note with a selection of dessert shots, including Banoffee Pie with Caramel & Fresh Queensland Bananas, Passionfruit Cheesecake with White Chocolate Shards and Mini Belgium Chocolate Mousse with Salted Caramel Toffee & Clotted Cream.

Chez Nous Corporate relished the opportunity to custom create this special menu showcasing local produce and  always welcome specialised catering briefs.

Chez Nous Corporate had truckloads of fun creating a fun street eat experience for a corporate client who hosted a launch event at The Joinery in June.

The playful and casual ‘street eats’ theme included custom-created cocktails served by Gathering Events from their amazing mobile caravan bar, an indulgent Cheese & Antipasto Grazing Station, as well as three themed food carts supplied by Brandition.

Chez Nous Corporate’s food cart offering included an American-themed cart with Mini Chipolata Hot Dogs and Mini Wagyu Burgers, an Asian-themed cart with Sticky Pork Steamed Bao Buns and Chicken Pad Thai Noodles, and a Mexican-themed cart with Chicken Enchiladas and Mince Beef Tacos.

Cool, casual, and totally tasty, Chez Nous Corporate’s fun food cart options are quirky, memorable and can be a budget-friendly way to feed your guests in a relaxed setting.

Chez Nous Corporate seamlessly delivered a well  packaged full day conference menu to 100 attendees at an Australia Post event hosted at The Joinery in July.

Set in a vibrant and relaxed lounge setting styled by Annabel Victoria and using pieces from Dann Event Hire, attendees enjoyed morning tea, afternoon tea, lunch and dinner catered by Chez Nous Corporate.

The lunch offering included freshly made wraps, sandwiches and bambino’s with mixed fillings while dinner was an elaborate BBQ buffet with BBQ Rib Fillet, BBQ Beef Sausages and Petite Chicken Souvlaki Skewers, accompanied by Penne Pasta infused with Pesto, Baby Spinach Salad with Roasted Pumpkin, Fetta, Toasted Pine Nuts and Balsamic Reduction and Marinated Lemon Potatoes.
